2008 Football Playoffs

November 22, 2008>> On a cold frigid November day The GPW Pee Wee Team fought a courageous battle against East Greenbush for the 2008 Super Bowl Championship. East Greenbush scored in their opening drive to take the early lead. Both teams fought a hard hitting defensive game for much of the game. East Greenbush scored a second touchdown early in the second half to take a 14-0 lead. The Dutchmen couldn't find the end zone and lost 14-0.

GPW Board and Guilderland Football Fans are very proud of how the team represented Guilderland throughout the season. Congrats to all the players, cheerleaders and fans for all their support in this great season of football.


 

November 15, 2009>> On a rain soak field the Dutchmen Pee Wee Team defeated Rotterdam
12-0. Next step Super Bowl .... details to be announced

November 9, 2008 >> The Dutchmen Pee Wee team hosted Niskayuna in the first round of the 2008 Playoffs. It was  a hard fought defensive game that found both teams pulling out all the  tricks to try and find the end zone. The Dutchmen scored early in the first half and held off a fighting Niskayuna team. GPW 6 - Nisky 0.

The Dutchmen Pee Wee Team has home field advantage as they move onto  round two of the playoffs.

 

November 5,2008>>Both Junior Pee Wee and Pee Wee teams played in a four play playoff game on Wednesday night at East Greenbush Pop Warner.
Games were played under high school overtime rules. 4 plays from the 10 yard line until a winner was determined.

Our Pee Wee team played for a seeding in the local playoffs, facing off against East Greenbush and then Ravena. The Guilderland Pee Wee team won both games making them the number one seed for the playoffs.

The number one seeding allows the Dutchmen to have home field advantage as they face off against Niskayuna on Sunday November 9th, 2008 Game time 2pm Nott Rd.

Congrats to Coach Vivian and his team...
 


November 9, 2008 >> Our JPW team hit the road for a regional game and fought a hard defensive game. GPW Junior Pee Wee season ended today in a 14 -0 defeat to Monroe.

Our JPW team  played for a spot in the Empire Games or a regional playoff game. Our JPW team lost in their playoff game but due to their final season record they are now moving on to the regional games. More info  coming soon...

Congrats to Coach Finn and his Junior Pee Wee team for representing GPW in this special Four Play Playoff Game.
